Outreach and Sponsorship Assistant

Job Description

  • Sponsorship Responsibilities

    • Obtain a title sponsor and pursue additional sponsorship opportunities

    • Develop sponsorship package(s)

    • Ongoing communication with Finance and Fund Development Team and Co-Executive Directors

  • University Partnership Outreach Responsibilities

    • Establish university partnerships

      • Research mental health initiatives, strategies, and stakeholders for potential university partners

      • Identify and contact stakeholders for each university

      • Design partnership proposals for each university

      • Ongoing meeting with university contacts to establish partnerships

    • Ongoing communication with Outreach Team and Co-Executive Directors

Qualifications and Expectations of Position

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Writing partnership proposals and designing sponsorship packages

    • Presenting to potential sponsors and university partners

  • University extra-curricular engagement experience

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Experience in sponsorship and community relations

  • Well connected in the not-for-profit industry

  • Preference for upper year students or graduates of Bachelor of Communications, Community Development, Commerce, not-for-profit management degrees/diplomas, or other related education

  • Passionate about mental health awareness and stigma reduction

  • Professional, organized, and self-starter. This position is primarily independent with online/phone communication with Outrun the Stigma Leadership Team

  • Available to work during working hours on weekdays

Job Details

This is a contract position that requires 8-16 hours/week. Available to start by late January 2017.

Outrun the Stigma comprises a group of dedicated students and recent graduates. We offer an opportunity for professional development, support, and network building.
